FAQS
We want you to feel comfortable and informed before beginning your journey with Elevate Your Path Life & Learning. Below are answers to common questions about our life and academic coaching services.
What is Elevate Your Path Coaching?
Elevate Your Path Life & Learning provides personalized life and academic coaching designed to help individuals gain clarity, develop practical strategies, overcome challenges, and move toward meaningful personal, professional, and educational goals.
What Life Coaching services do you offer?
Life Coaching sessions can focus on areas such as personal growth, confidence, motivation, goal setting, life transitions, decision-making, organization, relationships, career direction, work-life balance, building routines, finding purpose, and creating an achievable plan to move forward.
How is Life Coaching different from therapy?
Life Coaching focuses primarily on your present circumstances, future goals, personal development, and action planning. Coaching is not psychotherapy and does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
If your needs are outside the scope of coaching, we may encourage you to seek assistance from an appropriately licensed healthcare or mental health professional in your community. We can provide referrals.
What Academic Coaching services do you offer?
We provide Academic Coaching for students at all educational levels, including elementary school, middle school, high school, college, graduate school, adult education, and lifelong learning.
Support may include coursework, study strategies, writing, research, reading comprehension, organization, time management, test preparation, presentations, projects, academic planning, motivation, and building confidence as a learner.
What subjects do you support?
Academic Coaching is available across all subjects. Depending on the student's needs, coaching may focus on understanding course material, developing learning strategies, improving academic skills, organizing assignments, or, when appropriate, identifying additional subject-specific resources.
Do you work with elementary and middle school students?
Yes. Younger students can receive age-appropriate academic coaching focused on organization, homework routines, study skills, confidence, reading, writing, subject support, and developing positive learning habits.
For minors, a parent or legal guardian must complete the required consent and enrollment process.
Do you work with high school students?
Yes. We support high school students across all grade levels and subjects. Coaching can include coursework, study skills, writing, research, organization, time management, test preparation, projects, and preparation for the transition to college.
Do you work with college and graduate students?
Yes. We work with undergraduate, graduate, online, traditional, and adult students. College coaching may include academic writing, research, study strategies, organization, understanding assignment requirements, managing deadlines, presentations, and developing greater academic independence.
Do you work with online students?
Absolutely. Online learning requires considerable independence and organization. We can help students create schedules, manage deadlines, understand assignments, communicate effectively in online courses, and develop strategies for succeeding in virtual learning environments.
Do you work with adult learners returning to school?
Yes. We welcome adult learners. Returning to education after several years can feel overwhelming, especially when balancing school with employment and family responsibilities. Coaching can help you rebuild academic confidence and develop strategies that fit your current life.
Is Academic Coaching the same as tutoring?
Not exactly. Tutoring generally concentrates on teaching a specific subject or concept. Academic Coaching can include subject support, but it also addresses the broader skills students need to succeed, including organization, study habits, time management, motivation, research, writing, planning, and becoming an independent learner.
Will you write my assignments or complete my homework for me?
No. Our goal is to help students learn and succeed independently. We can explain concepts, review instructions, help develop ideas, provide feedback, teach research and writing strategies, and help students improve their work.
We do not complete graded assignments, exams, quizzes, discussion posts, theses, dissertations, or other academic work for a student.
Can you help me use AI appropriately for school?
Yes. We can help students understand responsible uses of AI for brainstorming, studying, organizing ideas, practicing concepts, and improving learning while respecting their school's academic integrity and AI policies.
Can you proofread or review my paper?
Yes. We can provide feedback on organization, clarity, argument development, grammar, structure, citations, and academic style. The student remains responsible for making revisions and submitting their own work.
Can you help with APA, MLA, or other citation styles?
Yes. Academic Coaching can include guidance on citation practices, research organization, source integration, and common academic formatting styles.
Do you work with students who have disabilities or learning differences?
We strive to provide an inclusive and supportive coaching environment. Please let us know about accommodations or communication preferences that would make your coaching experience more accessible.
Coaching does not replace accommodations or disability services provided by a school or university.
Are services available virtually?
Yes. Elevate Your Path Life & Learning is designed to make coaching accessible regardless of location. Virtual sessions allow clients and students to participate from a comfortable and convenient setting.
Are services available in English and Spanish?
Yes. Coaching services are available in English or Spanish, so clients can communicate in the language they feel most comfortable in.
How do I schedule a session?
You can use the Book a Session option on our website to select an available appointment. After booking, you will receive information about your session and any forms you need to complete beforehand.
How long is a coaching session?
Session length depends on the service or package selected. Available session lengths and pricing are displayed when you schedule your appointment.
How much does coaching cost?
Pricing varies by coaching type, session length, and package selected. Current prices are listed on our Services and Booking pages so you can review the cost before committing.
Do you offer coaching packages?
Yes. Packages may be available for clients who want ongoing support. Packages can help when working toward longer-term academic or personal goals because they provide continuity and accountability.
I am not sure which service I need. What should I choose?
That is completely fine. If you are unsure whether Life Coaching, Academic Coaching, or a particular package is right for you, contact us before booking. We can help you identify which option best matches your goals.
Can parents participate in their child's Academic Coaching?
For younger students, parent involvement can be valuable. The appropriate level of involvement depends on the student's age and goals. We want parents to remain informed while also helping students develop independence and responsibility.
Are coaching sessions confidential?
We respect the privacy of our clients and students and handle personal information carefully. However, coaching should not be considered legally privileged communication in the same way that certain relationships with licensed healthcare professionals or attorneys may be.
Our Privacy Policy and Coaching Agreement provide additional information about privacy and confidentiality.
Are sessions recorded?
Sessions are not routinely recorded. Any recording would require appropriate consent in advance.
Do I need to complete forms before my first session?
Yes. Depending on the service, clients may be asked to complete an intake form, coaching agreement, informed consent, privacy acknowledgment, cancellation policy, and other applicable documents.
Parents or guardians must provide appropriate consent for minor clients.
Can I switch from Academic Coaching to Life Coaching?
Yes. Sometimes academic challenges are connected to motivation, confidence, organization, or larger life goals. We can discuss whether changing or combining coaching approaches would better support you.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
We understand that schedules change. We'll explain cancellation and rescheduling requirements during booking and in your Coaching Agreement. Please provide as much notice as possible when you need to change an appointment.
What happens if I miss an appointment?
Missed appointments may be subject to the cancellation and no-show policy associated with your booking. Please review the policy before scheduling.
Do you offer refunds?
Refund eligibility depends on the service or package purchased and the circumstances of the cancellation. Please review the current Refund and Cancellation Policy before purchasing a session or package.
Do you provide mental health treatment or medical advice?
No. Elevate Your Path Life & Learning is a coaching and educational support service. We do not diagnose or treat medical or mental health conditions and do not provide psychotherapy, medical treatment, or emergency services.
What if I am experiencing a mental health emergency?
Coaching is not an emergency or crisis service. If you believe you or another person is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or an appropriate crisis service immediately.
Do you provide legal, financial, or medical advice?
No. Coaching may help you clarify goals, organize questions, and develop action plans, but it does not replace advice from licensed legal, financial, medical, or mental health professionals.
Can you guarantee that I will reach my goals or improve my grades?
No ethical coaching service can guarantee a particular result. Success depends on many factors, including participation, effort, circumstances, and consistent application of the strategies discussed during coaching.
Our role is to provide guidance, encouragement, strategies, accountability, and support while you remain responsible for your decisions and results.
What makes Elevate Your Path Coaching different?
We believe coaching should be personal, not one-size-fits-all. Whether you are a student trying to succeed academically or an adult trying to figure out what comes next, we start with your goals, your circumstances, and your strengths. We then work together to create practical steps that help you move forward with greater confidence and purpose.
